Assignment 1- Photomontage

 I mainly am taking inspiration from Hannah Maynard as I liked her creativity and use of humour in her work. The duplicity of her images, while using clothing that is repetitive gives her montages an obvious surreal quality. In this vein I hope to attempt in my montage is to use some archived photos of my cousins two dogs to make a surreal Frankenstien dog with more than one head. Another photomontage I would like to try is utilizing some archived skate boarding photos to make a jump trick sequence using a variety of photos (and people) a bit more reminiscent of Jerry Uelsmann. I'm excited and nervous to test out this montage technique, I only wish I had more archived photos to play with.
